Apologies for the long absence, however, it will likely last a lot longer. My dad has been diagnosed with cancer and I'm at home in the US supporting my family while he's undergoing chemo. I don't know how long I'll be here. Luckily, my supervisor has been very supportive and agreed to let me work from the US part time and suspend my PhD for as long as necessary.
