Groceries are under budget, which is odd. I'm eating more than ever (as the scale reflects ;)).
Internet is crazy expensive this month. We hit our 100 GB data limit due to my flatmates' new NetFlix addiction, so we are switching to fiber internet, which involved a set up fee ($49), a new router ($120), and paying the overage fee and normal monthly cost.
Under budget for eating out.
Cell phone is way over because of my Skype subscription renewal.
Medical is over budget, but that's OK--I had a physio, dentist, and doctor's appointments.

Alcohol: out of town colleagues visited; two friends visited; a friend had a birthday party; I had drinks and some food and tried new beers with friends and workmates, as usual. Hosted a movie night.
Goods and Wants: bought bug eating plants for the gnat invasion in my kitchen; food and goodies from the American store; replaced my watch battery; bought fertilizer for my garden; bought a gift for a friend's birthday; paid for a photography course; bought a toothbrush and lightbulbs;
Transportation: cityhop! and 1 bus and 1 Uber
Good month. Work was extremely busy and stressful the first half (we had a big project). I ended up pretty much managing the entire project myself--including threatening to fire our contractors if they didn't shape up--and had to work eleven 16-hour days in a row. Whew. And that wasn't even for my PhD! I do really love my job though, and it was considered a huge success by everyone involved, so that is another win for me!
The latter half of the month has just been getting back in the normal work groove again. I'm kind of checked out of my PhD. Getting stressed over it just isn't worth it. I have no major deadlines for it til next year so I'm trying to not let my crazy supervisor get in my head with his insults and comments about being disappointed again.
FEB GOALS
The Good
--I flossed every day. Got an excellent bill of teeth from the dentist. Yay!
--I updated my Master Accounts sheet with my new insurance details.
--I made dermo and physio appointments--I've been to two phyio appointments already!
--I updated all of my CV and career sites.
--I went to the dentist for a check up.
--I gathered all of my federal and state tax documents.
--I ordered new contact lenses.
--I signed up for a photography class.
--I fertilised and fixed my orchid.
--I rented my garage finally!
--I granted a radio interview as requested but the journalist never contacted me to set up the interview (at least, not yet).
--I made a plan to log my travel expenses.
--I have been practicing my Spanish every day (but I'm still not to 50% fluency!! That last 1% is taking FOREVER!)
--I pulled together my flights, car rentals, and accommodation details for my South America trip.
The Bad
--I need to work on doing the weights and stretches. I need to exercise!
--I had to postpone my Float Tank session, unavoidable...
--I didn't do my PhD proposal.
--I haven't been sticking to my early bedtime (surprise, surprise).
--I have meditated only a few times.
--I haven't been really working on my posture, awareness, breathing like I should be!
--I also haven't worked out, stretched, done sit ups, planks, or weights as much as I should be.
Not bad at all! Next month, clean slate.
