Blogger is now giving me a notice:

I went to the 'Learn more' link and it said "To see the notice if you’re outside of the EU, view your blog and change the country code, for example blogspot.fr or blogspot.co.uk. If you use a custom domain, you won't see the notice outside of the EU."
I've tried that and it reverts back to .com--I cannot see the notice and am outside the EU.
FOR THE RECORD:
I don't collect AdSense and have all ads turned off. I don't personally collect cookies or whatnot--in fact I have no idea what they even really do! You are safe visiting here with me.
However, I don't claim to know what Blogger does with data collected on me or those visiting my blog. I'd like to see them be clearer about that.
If you are in the EU and visiting my blog, I'd love it if you could copy and paste the notice in my comments section so I know what it says!! (Thanks in advance. :))

All the Money Things!
Just a quick update on money-related things happening in my life right now:
1. I have 90% decided to get LASIK this year as a present to myself for my 40th birthday this year. I had my consultation and assessment today and good news! My corneas are 600 um thick, which is about 110 um more than the minimum thickness they need to qualify for the surgery.
This will cost $5800 NZD (~$4K USD) for both eyes. I think that is roughly on par with costs in the US? I will be getting a new US credit card (Chase Sapphire Preferred or Reserve, unsure at the moment!) just before the surgery so that $$ will fulfill my $4K minimum spend. [See #3, below.]
I've already saved up $5K NZD (see sidebar) for LASIK already so I just need to allocate another $800 from somewhere, probably will kill my DSLR fund for this.
[Note: the older and closer to 40 I get, the more people think it is OK to comment on "how young" I look. I know I am supposed to take this as a compliment & ego boost, but it just makes me feel awkward and like I somehow do not seem mature or established enough to be 40. The next questions are always am I married and/or have kids? And when I answer, "No" there is just silence... Age-ism + sexism, peeps--don't do it!]
2. My teeny tiny raise was just eaten up by a rental increase, by doubly. This city is going to kill me.
3. I will probably opt for the Chase Sapphire Reserve card instead of the Preferred this year. It has a $450 annual fee, but I intend on taking advantage of the $300 travel reimbursement (details here on how to get this reimbursement TWICE). I also intend on getting Global Entry and having the card pay me back the $100 fee. That would be $700 in return for $450. Other perks listed here, and Uber rides count as travel expenses. I will need to remember to sign up for Priority Pass lounge membership, as described here. After canceling
4. Italy trip planning is ticking along! So far costs for a 7 day trip are:
Car: $230 NZD
Accommodation: $275 total, missing 2 nights--Night 1: $40 NZD Night 2: $38.77 NZD Night 3: $35 NZD Nights 4 & 5: $???? Nights 6 & 7: $160 NZD
Food:
Petrol:
Entry Fees, Misc:
$505 NZD so far.
